Title: Dyson V8
Post by: Juliand on June 23, 2016, 10:37:42 am
Anyone bought one of these? Very pricey, so a bit of a risk at £500 (kinda like the V8 name tag, - always wanted a V8 ha ha)

If you really want a Brute, and for it to last forever, get a KIRBY, my Mum originally bought it in 1994 still being used today, been passed down through the family, just won't die! LMAO.

VAX are sh*te.

Had a Dyson DC01, built well, lasted about 10 years... had one of those Dyson Ball ones, kept breaking, not made like the original.

Miele Dog and Cat one is great for Dog hairs (3 labs)

Got a Samsung one for the car, that's been pretty good, but gets epically HOT, even has an LED to say it's too hot, WTF, so you've designed it poorly then stuck on a temp sensor cos you know you f*cked up... haha.

Why the f*ck am I talking about hoovers? :P

All about henry! Weve had ours for 15 years and never let us down!

We also have a vax too which we use in our loft room as henry is too heavy to take up 2 flights of stairs .its decent, sucks up a lot of hair and dust. Just have to clean the filter out once every 2 weeks.

What did she pay for the Kirby ? They were one of the first things to be sold in the "if you buy today i can give you xx discount" , my grandad paid £1200 in about 1990 ! There are good machines but never worth £400 then , the selling of them was greatly reported scam and i even had a friend go and work for them who explained all their ploys , she didn't last long as it was so dishonest.

Jees... Kirby.... i remember when we were just married in the 80's someone coming round for a demo on one of those Kirby things. Absolute nightmare of a sales pitch - they were at our house til nearly 10.00 pm, calling manager etc to get a good deal to close the sale. Had to shove em out the door in the end to get rid of the fckrs.
Probably a good bit of tech, at the time, but even then they looked like a bit of 1950's space technology....... "Danger Will Robinson....." ha ha.

No, def no kirby here - I'd be having nightmares, proper, that's for sure. Wouldn't mind being aged 24 again though...  wow, we got wed young in those days..... Where has the time gone???? :sad1:

Just got a shark one that seems to be really good. Does have a cord though but means you don't have to bother charging it.
