Hi all, i have been a member on here for a while now and thought it was about time i started a progress thread. Ive owned my edition 30 since april this year and have loved every minute of it so far! I was very lucky to find a brilliant condition low mileage example with alot of extras from the factory and also mods that previous owners, one being on the forum here had previously done.
This was the day i picked the car up and got it back to my workplace for its first clean
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1262.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2F2016-04%2FIMG-20160411-WA0002_zpsng62xfrt_edit_1466853959878_zpsedzadjmu.jpg%7Eoriginal&hash=4ddab2438838553057bb54f646e4588a4d4b13a4)
And one with my old car,
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1262.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2F2016-04%2FIMG-20160414-WA0004_zpsib4qbyge.jpg%7Eoriginal&hash=ffbfced4a1171ea44a55dd98bfa032b64cdce5c1)
And here is the spec of the car,
- Tornado Red Gti Edition 30 number 1411
- 65,615 miles
- Dsg (with r-tech remap)
- Full service history
- Convenience pack
- Winter pack
- Satnav inc bluetooth & steering wheel controls
- High line dash
- Sunroof
- Parking sensors
and mods on the car include
- H&r springs, front & rear anti roll bars
- WALK kit
- Herts amp
- Front speakers upgrade
- New south boost gauge
- Open fog surrounds
- APR Carbonio intake with pipercross panel filter
- Possibly had a remap but not sure so need a trip to r-tech
After about a week of owning it i said to myself i just wanted to get it cleaned up and not do too much but then i started to browse the forum and you know where it goes from there
Here was my first wax session on the car with my mates from work,
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1262.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2F2016-04%2F11a50506-2055-4acc-972b-efa9ce8a3836_zpskzrwqmps.jpg%7Eoriginal&hash=c966f7072df2a52b6f70e58bb4ad000a3c6ec655)
Also added pressed plates as i love how clean they look
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1262.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2FIMG-20160603-WA0004_zps94mqkxsx.jpg%7Eoriginal&hash=8a27fcc6286643e6f330e9347ad5048edf523e96)[/list]
And cleaned the bay too
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1262.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2F2016-05%2FIMG_20160526_154906_zpsqorq5fqj.jpg%7Eoriginal&hash=78a8c28816c2b6b3a2afb103bb0a33443e59b202)
Then some goodies came through the post

The most exciting part being the 12mm eibach wheel spacers, i only fitted the rears to start with as i wasnt sure wether i wanted them on the front aswel
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1262.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2F2016-05%2FIMG_20160523_071057_zpsryosalj7.jpg%7Eoriginal&hash=5d52be484500fcc5fc403b1ce02b9ab72e66a1c6)
And then finally for now i received my xenon headlights & 6k HID kit through the post so i quickly got these fitted,

Cheers Mitch! I got them from here m.carpartstuning.com/ they are from europe though just so you know & the sidelight location is in the main housing not in the strip below like the depo's but didn't bother me too much, they are spot on for the price tho and all black inners which I wanted too! And these where the hid's www.just-performance.co.uk/55w-pro-canbus-h7-single-beam-slim-hid-conversion-kit perfect white light :) hope that helps!

Small update, gave the car a service the other day as it was due one, used the millers nano drive oil as everyone on here was raving about it!(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1262.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2F2016-06%2FIMG_20160627_075838_zpsmdbkuj2x.jpg%7Eoriginal&hash=ff0dfeca915cc186fb97e9176e32713832e1af3f)
Also fitted a new rear edition 30 badge thanks to mandy on here as mine had seen better days (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1262.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2F2016-06%2FIMG_20160624_100948_zpsgbbmkr66.jpg%7Eoriginal&hash=16474db79107be0f82518efdbc5c0ae16746c7e8)
And picked this up for an absolute steal and was literally walking distance from my work too  (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1262.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FMobile%2520Uploads%2F2016-06%2FIMG_20160627_080111_zpsfeh7lsg9.jpg%7Eoriginal&hash=a07d799ea03a76360a88ede55b933fedf9133c29)

Not updated for a while so quick update after a few purchases!
Firstly bought and fitted my cam coat Revo intake to the car, definitely feels better top end and the noise is addictive, I got a heat shield from garage midnight too just to try and help keep the intake temps down a little more (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FMobile_Uploads%2F2016-08%2FIMG_20160805_111058_zpsr4ti8u3s.jpg&hash=0e95d459a726cb082b10bc29f38fb9d8d37a0575)
Then bought a full BCS decat exhaust system off a forum member on here only been used for 5k miles, very impressed with the quality of the exhaust just need to get it fitted now :)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FMobile_Uploads%2F2016-08%2FIMG_20160803_093344_zpsbw9cntv5.jpg&hash=0673a21734294e3e4d93641ca19d37cb8a2e34dd)
After fitting everything I'll be off for a stage 2 remap at r-tech maybe stage 2+ if I can get myself a hpfp so thought I best get myself some better brakes up front, found these with adaptors on eBay, after a cheeky offer managed to bag them for £280 just need to get new seals and some fresh paint on them :) question is yellow or red!?
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FMobile_Uploads%2F2016-08%2FA4E9938B-8A8D-4D72-BA5E-472F523E022F_zpsnwvj53m7.jpg&hash=7dc599371d40edfd2f2910a7c3c7359fd389b322)
And just because I can here's a pic at home after giving the car a quick clean :)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FMobile_Uploads%2F2016-08%2FDE7E4157-F694-4F71-9A70-95B01FE61A05_zps0pqib3t3.jpg&hash=e6724c614acb56273949eccf2dec8c3371a21357)

Ohh nice, did you go decat mate? I can't wait to hear it in person everyone says how good they sound! Bet you end up using a tank of fuel after fitting don't you? Haha
Wheel spacers are spot on, 12mm is perfect imo it just sets the back off and gives the car a wider stance especially on h&r springs which I noticed you have on your gti! I'm going to put my other 12mm spacers on the front when I fit the brakes so will all be matching!

Looking mean and some nice buys. I recently bought a Revo intake (non camcoat), do you have a link to the heat shield? Thanks,
-
Really nice looking Ed. 30!
Mods of really good quality. :happy2:
PS: Just to let you know that your front splitter is not the factory part. It's the Votex splitter. Check this topic for example: http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60096 (http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60096).

Thanks mate, quite happy with the mods I've got so far :) have you fitted the intake yet? Yeah no problem here's the link http://www.garagemidnight.com/collections/engine-air-intakes/products/garage-midnight-2-0tfsi-intake-exhaust-manifold-heat-shield it's definitely worth doing especially with the non cam coat version, I thought I'd do it anyway even though mine is the cam coat, every little helps!

Yep H&R all the way. I'll look out for an update on the spacers.
My Powervalve is the 200 cell turbo backed with cat. I don't know any mot guys so would have trouble getting it through.
I've said my thread/GTI is finished but I know I'll always find something else I want

Nice, it is a lot easier on mot time having the sports cat isn't it, I'm hoping my guy can pass me on decat as I haven't asked him yet lol
Haha there's always something else to do isn't there! Coming on here and looking at different peoples build threads just tempts me and gives me too many ideas!

Hi all, just a quick update and my predicament lol had my BCS sports power valve exhaust fitted yesterday sounds unreal but is too loud for my liking! Being a decat and the sports system I think that is my problem so if anyone on here knows of anyone selling a BCS sports cat and maybe a prestige silencer can you let me know please! Exchange may be possible but the only thing is I need my car as its a daily!

Dude after going for a blast in your car today, I'm mesmerised with your exhaust/intake sounds - it is bloody awesome!
Your car is spot on and drives amazing. Mine felt civilised in comparison - yours is like a growling animal.
I just need to get my intake fitted and see if that improves things for me.

Haha thanks mate :) it is a bit of a beast isn't it, puts a smile on my face every journey! Appreciate your kind words though!
Was very impressed with yours too, pulled really hard which I didn't expect as much as that on the K03, and your mods are going very well to say you have done everything yourself!
Yeah get that Intake fitted and you will be loving it, goes perfect with the BCS exhaust only thing is as soon as you do you will be spending a lot more time at the petrol station lol

Did you get your sports cat in the end from BCS?
PS - fitted the Ramair intake over the weekend and it still doesn't sound as awesome as yours! Might change it for a Revo one when I get bored of this one and if one comes up at a decent price.

Hi rash, yeah I got my sports cat fitted last week been meaning to update my build thread, strange thing is its still a lot louder than yours couldn't believe it! It's toned it down slightly but not as much as expected, I'm going to live with it for now anyway because I don't want to throw anymore money at the exhaust, very confused to why mine is a lot louder but is identical exhaust as yours now..
That's great news that you managed to fit your intake sorry I didn't get chance to give you a hand, how did you get on fitting it? Oh really, I thought the ram air would be pretty similar to the revo tbh! I'm sure one will come up on the for sale section at some point!

Let me know when you're free sometime, wouldn't mind another listen to it. Is the rumble/burble still loud on idle too?
I had @RetroRaz (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=6494) help with the intake on the weekend. Here's how it looks now with the engine cover modified too:

Yeah I'd be up for meeting up mate, will have a look when I'm free! Yeah it still has a nice rumble on tick over it has toned it down a little but you know it's there :)
Intake looks sweet mate! Really like the modified engine cover too, did you do the trimming yourselves or did you buy it already done? How does the ram air sound compared to the revo on mine is it as load?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
My mate Raz actually did the cutting of the engine cover the same day, as I didn't want to fit the intake without fitting the engine cover.
To be honest, it's not as loud as I expected it to be (kinda expected mad whooshing noises like yours!). Again, you may like mine, as it has a civilised whooshing/suction noise when you put your foot down.
We'll need to compare them again. Just let us know when you are free sometime.
By the way what did you do with your decat pipe?

Sounds like he was a big help then mate, I was tempted to do mine but wanted the option to put it back on for whatever reason!
Oh really, I thought the ram air was louder than the revo tbh, I'll definitely have to have a listen then, I do love the revo intake ticks all the boxes for me!
I'll drop you a pm to sort something out then mate, and regarding the decat pipe I still have it, I've put it up on the for sale section on here but not sold it yet so spread the word if you know of anyone after one!

That's ok mate, nice! Have you finished modding the 6R then or you still got more plans? What power is it running I remember you said you where getting good times on the drag strip weren't you?

I've stopped modding the 6R for now...
Last time I went up the strip I got a 11.95
I think my terminal speed was 115mph

Been meaning to do an update on here for a while, done a few things to the car in the last couple of months..
The biggest update being the BCS turbo back sports exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, originally I went for decat which was a little too loud for me but did sound mental, now I've swapped to a sports cat it's perfect! Nice and quiet just a slightly deeper tone over standard but when you put your foot down and boost kicks in WOW what a sound! Anyone thinking of buying one just do it :)

Changed the cam follower for piece of mind, it didn't look too bad at all (old one on the right) but I changed it anyway, nice easy job too!

Had two new tyres on the front went for Michelin PS4's, very impressed with these tyres for the price would definitely recommend them!
Fitted white led number plate lights to freshen up the rear end, I got the genuine vw ones from eBay part num 1K8943021C for anyone that might want some.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FMobile_Uploads%2F2016-11%2F55A9C3AB-AB59-4AC8-8D21-98D4E84F8AF3_zps23rsxjue.jpg&hash=4d5d54341745954bfd8538023f0e3374308da4c4)
That's about it up too now, next job will be to book in at VW to do a DSG service as it's due soon, was going to do it myself but after pricing up for genuine oil/filter VW don't actually charge much more to have it done with them plus I haven't got to get my hands dirty :)
And just a few recent pics after a New Year's Day clean!

Also fitted the boot pop kit a while ago which I forgot to mention, nice little extra for the money.
And then finally I got on to these beauty's, fitted new seals and painted with foliatec Rosso red which is really good stuff..

Hi Martin,
I hope you are keeping well.
Can't believe the transformation of the front of the car just by spraying the grilles - looks bloody awesome!
Have you fitted the brakes yet? Wouldn't mind checking them out. It's an upgrade I'm gonna have to seriously consider being Stage 2 myself. The standard brakes just do not cut it anymore.

Hi Rash,
I'm good thanks how are you?
Yeah it's well worth doing the front grills I just used some trim gel on them, looks really good against the red so would look great on yours too!
No not fitted the brakes yet, managed to get the decals on today & lacquered over the calipers to give them more of a shine & to seal the decal in will post some pictures in a couple of days, just need to get some brake pads now!
I will let you know when I've got them fitted & we will have to meet up so you can have a look at them, I think it's a must when your stage 2/2+ you still thinking about getting the s3/golf R brake upgrade?

So Friday I took advantage of my boss not being in at work & did my DSG gearbox service, it was last done on 40k & the car is now on 71k so a bit early but makes me happier knowing it's been done for the remap.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2F31BAA5AA-DA0E-458A-8ED0-656D3E152804_zpsy2rnaw6d.jpg&hash=47b239688dd67392019b7f52b6956b69fdc6e88a)
Genuine VW DSG oil used along with genuine filter, o-ring & drain plug washer.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fii612%2Fmartinjk%2FA78DA993-5A2A-4973-8C0A-92602C5088A1_zpsubpfpk3m.jpg&hash=548692c37de9b4a27eab6ef696fa97432a6b130b)
I did the top fill method so was very time consuming putting the oil in, took about an hour to fill but being at work and getting paid anyway I didn't mind lol, I also managed to do it all without taking the battery out which was a bonus :)
All in all it took me 2 hours start to finish, very easy job & after driving the car home the gears feel much smoother than before so was worth doing even if it is 10k early!

Quick update, I've recently decided to knock stage 2+ on the head for now and keep the car as it is, reason being I may be putting the car back to standard & selling it in the next few months and don't won't to put anymore money on mods into it.
I still love the car and the way it looks I'm just getting a little bored and I'm missing having a manual tbh the dsg is great but with it being a lot less involved driving the car it's not as fun after a while plus getting the power down these last 6 months over winter has been a nightmare so I can't imagine what stage 2+ is like, definitely getting 4wd next.
Will be putting the Porsche calipers up for sale very soon so if anyone is interested drop me a message, also have brand new elliptical grooved brake discs front & rear to sell separate or as a package with the calipers.

To be honest it baffles me why they didn't. If we look at it car wise (excluding the R32 as it doesn't have a turbo) if they did make it AWD surely it would of made it a better option and direct competitor with the Audi S3 that was out at the time.

I'm not seeing VW making a GTI with AWD. That's R territory. Even today's Clubsport S Edition 40 is FWD with a LSD.

Yeah I know I've always thought the same, I nearly bought an s3 for that reason but I think the ed30 looks so much nicer and stands out more, there's just so many audi's on the road nowadays so the s3 just blends in & doesn't look as special imo. Might just have to get a mk6 R if funds let me ;)

Yeah you make a good point actually, I forgot the ed40 came with fwd too! Suppose Vw has to keep things different for various models as it would be like buying the same car just with a different look.

Hi Martin,
Can't believe you're selling up! Actually I can, as I'm in a similar boat and will be selling up soon as well. I'm sick of the manual and want an auto (grass is always greener on the other side).
I put my BCS and Ramair up for sale just last night and both have sold already. I didn't have any other performance mods, so it'll go up for sale soon after they have been removed.
Gonna miss the car, but I also want a 4WD. I think it's needed in the UK, with the weather that we have for most of the year.
I quite like the Audi S5 to be honest. Big V8 and 4WD. Never had a V8 so need to tick that box. It's been one of my favourite cars for a long time now, just haven't been able to afford it before.
If I was keeping my car, I would have had your brakes off you. I've been in two minds for a while now, but in the end decided to let it go and move on.

Hi Rash,
I've been thinking about selling up for a few weeks now won't be yet probably in a month or so, due to this I thought it would be pointless modding the car any further so I sold the brakes, I'm just starting to get a little bored lately & I'm the opposite to you as I really want a manual again lol
That's good news on selling the exhaust & intake so fast, I'll be selling my Bcs & revo intake when I come to selling the car too so I'll probably ask the same money for my exhaust as you did!
4WD is a must for me next time after owning the ed30 over winter it made me realise how much I need it if I'm going to get something with similar power.
Audi s5 is a good shout, lovely looking cars and that v8 would be awesome with the 4WD and obviously the sound would be unreal!
I think everyone gets to that point no matter how much you love your car I've owned my ed30 for a year now and it's been brilliant and gets a lot of attention, not sure what I want next yet so for now I'll keep it.
You will have to let me know if you end up getting a s5 as I'd love to come and have a look at it myself as I've never been in one, plus I want to hear that v8 growl :)

All this selling talk has me feeling a bit sad :signLOL: but I hope you guys will stay on the forum when you have your new pride and joys.
I completely understand where you are coming from concerning the 4WD stuff it is essential in the UK if you want driveability and to get the power down properly. Golf R or RS3 8P for me in the next few years if my finances allow for that

Yeah I think a lot of people decide to go 4wd after having a mk5 gti for that reason! I'm tempted on a Golf R tbh just not sure wether funds will let me atm just need the prices to drop that little bit more on them!

Getting it swapped over this weekend from National Tyres and Autocare on Castle Boulevard.
I've used this garage before and they are very good at jobs like that.
Let me know when you're ready for the swap over and I'll tell which guy to ask for. He's pretty reasonably priced as well. I think he does it 'on the side' but he's very helpful. He makes a little drink out of it and uses the garages tools etc. It's a win win for everyone.

Sorry for the late reply mate, I spoke to the exhaust guy but unfortunately he could only do it a week on Saturday & I need it done for next week as I have a viewing on the car, will definitely keep him in mind for the future though, thanks for putting me on to him i appreciate it :)

So as you all know I was thinking about selling my edition 30 these past few months, as of yesterday the car has now been sold to somebody from the forum (peter_booker2003) which I'm very happy about as I know it's gone to a good home.
Cars been great fun from start to finish & will definitely be missed, probably one of the best cars I've owned tbh but time for a change :)
Thanks to everyone who took there time to comment & look at my build thread.
I'll still be lurking around on the forum to nosey at other peoples projects & the fact that I've met a great bunch of lads on here too. I will be sure to post a picture of the new car too!

Thanks for the easy transition @Martin_jk (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=10193).
Car is fantastic thanks. Drives brilliantly and it quick enough for sure. Will make a proper thread about it when I get chance. :happy2:

What did you do to restore the front plastic grills and has it lasted? Looks like you made a good job. Tidy car :happy2:

Hi Mitch, I used megs endurance tyre & trim gel you can buy it from Halfords, it's good stuff & durability isn't bad probably would need a top up now though as it's been a few months since I did it! It's a pain to do but well worth it :)

Oh bonus, you can't beat it for the price can you! I used a foam applicator pad to apply it, think I got them from eBay, then I wiped over with a microfibre after, it is a really fiddly job unfortunately so give yourself plenty of time to do it :) I did mine on my lunch break at work haha

Hi Martin,
Can't believe it's gone! Mine was also picked up last night, so I guess we're both Golf-less at the moment.
I will also be sticking around on the forum as I've made lots of good friends on here.
You never know, when circumstances change again in the future, I may get back into another MK5.
Take care,
Rash

Hi Rash
I know it's a weird feeling tbh, oh no way they went at the same time, that's mad! Did you sell it to you friend?
Yeah definitely staying on here it's probably the best forum I've been a part of by far, lots of helpful people & like you say made some good friends too.
Yeah maybe :) I think I'd find it hard to ever have another after the ed30 was so good & well specced but you never know!
You take care too & keep in touch!

So I've been very quiet on here since i sold my ed30 in April, I actually bought a mk4 R32 as I've always wanted one, here's a couple of pics of the one I got
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fmartinjk%2FMk4_R32%2F2A3D0860-5248-4298-8E00-B3F5C6D1B340_zpsv3lqjkw8.jpg&hash=69b9ecaadf8343b69628a3c4287ee84595470f65)

I had it for a month and sold it, it was an awesome car and was an unbelievable spec (running 300bhp with all supporting mods) and the sound was amazing but it made me realise that I'm getting old as it was VERY uncomfortable plus the Mrs hated it lol at least I can say I've owned one now though
So since selling the R32 I've been looking for another car & wasn't sure what to get but today I have found exactly what i want in my budget, all being well I'll have it tomorrow so will put some pictures up on here not going to say what it is yet though I'll let you all guess until I update tomorrow ;)

Well, that is one lovely R32. Think they are going up in value now / you can own one without losing money?
I still really miss my mkiv - my ED30 is a great car, but having had a very well tuned mkiv 1.8t with K04 turbo, I would have liked an R32 as a further transition.
Look forward to reading about your next car!

The R32 was a lovely car tbh & the sound it made was epic plus 300bhp N/A engine was mental but a little too much sometimes, I think the value is definitely creeping up slowly too like you say!
The ed30 is a brilliant car I just got sick of the lack of traction in the end, I wouldn't blame you for getting an r32 one day though it did feel very special on the road & got a lot of attention.
Fingers crossed tomorrow will be the day :)

I'm still car-less at the moment. Got other priorities.
I really do need to get back into a Golf though.

Hi Pete, hope you are well? Thank you :) she is a beauty! Haha yeah it is a brilliant upgrade from the ed30 you will be tempted when winter comes & traction is a nightmare ;) although I did love the ed30 in every way, definitely missing the power atm as the Mk6 R is standard, stage 1 is in order I think!
Yeah I'm very happy with the colour actually I originally wanted blue but glad I went with grey now! I was quite lucky with the spec too, needed it as the ed30 had everything so would have missed it on this one.
Glad to hear the ed30 is all good though mate keep having a nosey at your thread, looks like good progress so far! You got any more mods happening soon or you just sorting other bits & bobs for now?

Hi Martin, All good here thanks. Yeah, i can imagine. Im still at the stage where im astounded how quickly it picks up in 2nd and 3rd.
Not any mods in the works at the moment, but just getting a few service/wear items done. The next mod will be a full TBE, and then off to R Tech for a Stage 2 Map. Got my insurance at the start of next month so going to get that out of the way then look for an exhaust and get the map sorted.

What exhaust you going for? Bcs I hope? ;) you will have to let me know what she's already running when you get the map done aswel always been intrigued I know it's definitely not stock lol

Yeah that's very true! BCS is the way forward as everyone on here will tell you lol for both sound & gains too, with any luck you might see one come up in the for sale section at some point.
Yeah let me know, I knew the gearbox was definitely mapped by r-tech but would love to know what figures the car makes as it is, all in good time though will keep my eye on your thread for updates :)

Thanks mate :) I managed to get a good cleaning session in the day before the show! I saw your Ed30 too was nice to see her again actually, still looking awesome!
I know I thought that too I expected to bump into you when walking around at some point lol then when I walked back over to your car around 2pm it had gone so assumed you had gone home, will definitely have a catch up with you on the next meet/show though!

Hey Martin. All good here thanks.
Yeah, it looked like you had spent some time on her. I was up at 5am cleaning the ED30 on the Sunday morning as I was working till late on Saturday.
We got there for about 7:40am, saw everything come in, watch a bit of the track and then headed home around 1pm. Had to get home as was going out in the afternoon!
Are you heading to Edition38? Think that will likely be the next one that I manage to get too.

Wow 5am!? That's dedication lol definitely paid off though looked lovely at the show.
Oh you got there quite early then, I wasn't there till 10am & left around 3pm was a good day & a brilliant turn out, wasn't expecting there to be that many cars.
Yeah I think edition38 will be my next show too tbh hoping to get some mods in before then need an exhaust on the 6R after going to vag tuner live I'm craving some noise lol
