After reading past posts about this fault I fear that my custom remap has been the source of all my issues with limp mode and power cuts.
So in March I got a stage 2 remap from a company which remaps every type of car possible. First 3 weeks of remap I was over the moon and then it started limp mode, power cuts during wot. Got car scanned and P0234 fault was registered
What I need to know is if there is a way I can know for sure that it's the remap and not another issue. I paid good money and thought custom was better than revo Apr etc hopefully makes sense

Messaged tuner and its alientech software that's used

If it's Alientech it is not a true custom map. All of these companies advertise that they are 'custom mapping' your car when it is anything but. What you have is generic % based bullsh*t unfortunately.
Unless you have a faulty N75, snapped the nipple of it etc. which I highly doubt, then yes it will be the map at fault. Get it datalogged with VCDS to confirm but if I were you I would take it back for a refund and have it put back to standard before taking it elsewhere

Thanks for the reply. Yea im going to get it taken back to standard as for refund I think ill be too locate as it's been 3 months now. He is certain it will be a sensor but after all the other posts the symptoms are identical. Only option is standard and go for the 1200 mile round trip to rtec

Didn't realise it had been 3 months. I take it you don't have VCDS? Does the tuner? (They would need it in order to custom tune the standard Bosch ECU) A datalogging session would tell you/him whether it's a sensor or the map. Do you not have APR/Revo etc. over there?

Yea it was the tuner who plugged it in and flashed up with the P0234. Im going back down for live logging on the dyno to get to the bottom of the issue. Im worried that he will try and pass the blame as to not make his maps look bad. I just find it weird how it takes a few weeks to start playing up once mapped

Funnily enough the guy who tuned my car is a revo and Apr dealer so thought his custom software would be just as good

Good luck with it, keep us posted
