Title: RS4 Fuel Return Valve
Post by: oak_grun on June 29, 2016, 02:05:27 pm
Hi, Just order one as ive fitted all bits required to go stage 2 as detailed below.

Full bcs tbe sport's exhaust with decat
evoms ait intake
eurojet fmic
auotech hpfp

and have read that the rs4 fuel return valve is essentail to get the most our of the hfpf.

How easy are they to fit?

Does anyone have or know of a diy guide to fit please?

Then its off to r-tech to get it remapped and set up properly!! :driver:

Thanks

Just checking... I'd heard about this on k04 cars. Will be fitting a Loba to my k03 GTI soon. I'll worry about the RS4 valve when I go hybrid!

Perhaps not the sort of advice you are looking for, but.....having sized this job up ( think i found a guide on an audi site? All sorts of bent/modified spanners used, and associated contortions!) decided to get it fitted for me.
I had already decided to get the supplier to fit my new Loba HPFP pp, because the terms of Lobas warranty appear to give them wriggle room if not fitted by an auto mech.
Although a well qualified engineer, i have learnt over many years that some jobs are best passed to a specialist! NOT worth the aggro for an old fella like me!

So last thurs had an RS4 vv fited to my Ed30 at TSR at the same time as my new Loba (great deal).

The mech (smallish young fella, well equipped) doing the job took just under 2 hours to fit both, and i watched him do most of the vv job. Looks and absolute b@st@rd job?
Money well spent in my book - probably < £45?

Looking forward to my APR 2+ next month!

Apparently its do-able and easyish if you have the right tools.

OP... have you cleaned the intake valves yet? If nots its a perfect chance to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and it will make the valve fitting much easier!
