Title: Can anyone help me do some logging?
Post by: AJP on July 03, 2016, 04:25:36 pm
Recently got my map revised from Stage 1 to Stage 2 at R-Tech, and since then I've been getting what I think are fuel cuts, limp mode, and today misfires under full load.

I don't have VCDS. Can anyone reasonably local with the kit and knowledge help out for a few quid please?!

I'm based in North Notts / South Yorks.
Cheers.

I know, I know. But if I could dedicate all my time and money to cars it'd be a different story.

Ok @Dan_FR and @r5gtt could you post up some links/guides etc please?

It's time I learnt this.

Only 20 quid? What about software?

£20 ish is the non legit version available that comes with software. Not sure sharing said links publically is allowed though

Have you tried posting on the Facebook group 'VCDS Users UK' ? I, along with hundreds of others, are members and there is a map available of user locations: http://www.vcdsusers.uk/

You would need to join the facebook page to make contact though

Cheers Mike, will bear that in mind.

I did a search, 'buy vcds' or something, and I've got to say I'm still a bit clueless regarding what I need and where I should get it from!

Marshal Industries sell it for £260 iirc with a carry case.  Over the next couple of years it will have paid for itself.

Thanks mate, I've managed to get booked into Statller's on Monday to get the pump fitted and Steve will be logging it. I'll definitely bear it in mind for the future though, appreciated.
