Im looking at wheel sealants for some new wheels i've bought and spotted that a few sealants mention protection against heat etc so this has lead me to the question of...
How hot do the Audi S3 brakes actually get?
baring in mind that the car is 95% used for fast road use with maybe 1 - 2 track days a year.

Hot brake dust will burn thru any sealant you can get.

So in that case then, would i be perfectly fine applying something like CarPro Quartz to matte black wheels and then topping it up with poorboys wheel sealant or some sort of matte specific spray detailer / sealant topup?

Just don't bother. The important thing about keeping wheels clean is cleaning them regularly. Do that and you'll be fine.

Cleaning cleaning cleaning. Every time.
I thought I fooked my wheels then I discovered this stuff: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/engine-and-exterior/carpro-iron-x-500ml/prod_726.html (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/engine-and-exterior/carpro-iron-x-500ml/prod_726.html)
Loads of manufacturers make the same thing, the raw ingredients are all the same.
Truly brilliant. :happy2:
