looks very well.
straight swap or were any modifications necessary?
can get the mk7 gearknob for around 100 euro but the amount of modification puts me off buying it.

Straight swap with this one but costs twice as much as mk7 so you have to question is it worth the money and also personal preference along with no going back!

Good shout! I went for mk6 so I could swap it out if I needed to down the line but if mk7 didn't mean I couldn't go back, I'd have gone for it!

to be honest my gearknob is looking a bit tatty and i have read on here that its possible to fit the mk7 one without having to cut the shaft .
when it arrives i will see what way is best to go.
