Often you see some new addition and think you need it because its new but in actual fact I don't even know if these lights suit the mk5........

Same! I think they would only suit a silver car though.

Although it's good to have a car that's different to the rest, I believe the best lights on the mk5 were the ed30 ones. Just darker I believe.

i think it depends on the colour of both car and lights. Personally i am not a fan of the super dark lights, but i believe you can get cherry red ones which i think would look tidy on a black mk5.

The ED30 do look best on the golf. imho anything else looks different and not cool again depending on the colour of the car.

The LED 6R style work if you have an R32 rear, otherwise the ED30/R32 dark cherry style lights work better. Personally, I prefer the look of the R32/ED30 lights on a mk5, the LED shape works better with the slightly squat shape of the mk6.

I have a set £100 delivered. one has tiny chip in corner amd other on edge but nothing to worry about.

Knowhere near mate, cheapest genuine R32/ED30 rear lights I've found are at AwesomeGTI £313.78!!! So add a bit more on at the dealers...

Post by: FJ1000 on July 23, 2016, 09:23:36 pm: I had some Depo rear lights on my other car and they were very poor quality. They let water in, causing the indicator to fail, and some plastic tabs literally fell apart in my hands as the plastic was so thin and brittle. Rubbish.
