This was Fitted's first year at the new venue in Manchester and what a show they put on! The scale was tremendous and unlike other shows that cram as much metal as they can in all the cars had plenty of room to breathe. Next year proves to be even bigger & better somehow!?! This show far surpassed any other static Vag shows I have been to like Ultimate dubs and the Edition 38 shows. Here are just a few of the photos I took, enjoy

Different strokes for different folks. That's why I like to take in a range of shows which are both static and track based.

To be honest there was hardly any clubstands and they were restricted to a small outdoor section only

Yeah that lupo is famous now. So many various objects (not just cars!) have the lupo wheels photo shopped on it now.
There's rumours about it and everything - some say it doesn't drive, its just pushed on and off the trailer, but that the owner is replacing the fuel pump?! Who knows

The Lupo was idiotic but it did exactly what the owner wanted it to, get people talking both positively and negatively. I think the comments about only getting in if your cars on air ect a little harsh, there was plenty of static cars, race cars and even motorcycles there.

Fitted was a great show and tbh the organisers did a fantastic job.
I show my car quite a bit, it doesn't go on a track and never will, wasn't built for that. I have no interest in that sort of thing, i may get a stone chip...no no no no no.
I'm not a pretentious cock, but i probably do have an over sized toy as a car. Its smart though.
It wasn't about scene wanking at all, You didn't have to have air / sh*t wheels to get into the show. You had to have a fine example of a car low or not. There was some beautiful machinery there from across Europe.
Don't take any notice of the lupo, that doesn't count.... the owner is clearly on crack :signLOL:

Air is ok, but to go to a show where every car is slammed on air is boring, hence why I don't go to these shows. It's like it's the only mod to get you Instagram likes and scene points. All sponsored by MasterCard no doubt.

i do often wonder how many of the owners actually have a mortgage and live in the real world when I visit shows but I agree the slammed on air is getting boring now. Id much rather have a track focused car.

I was referring to the extreme cars and how on earth they manage to spend the dizzying amounts they do when they change their cars appearance every year.

It's one upmanship, plain and simple. Lower, wider, more stretch, just for 'scene points'.
I mentioned 'chequebook cars' in another thread, and it's pretty much what Rich is saying:
1) Buy latest VAG on the never never.
2) Take to Luke at Plush for him to actually do all the hard work.
3) Pay on the never never.
4) Roll up to your spot at the latest and greatest sceney VAG show. Feel like a boss because 'your build' is owning it.
5) 500 scene points aquired.
Point I'm making is that a lot of people who don't really have a clue about how air ride works, how hard it is to build a ridiculously slammed static daily, and all the rest of it, want instant fame and recognition in the scene. And they want the credit for it. Like those 'Built Not Bought' stickers. Half the cars wearing those are unintentional parodies of it.
There are always exceptions, always home builds that are true works of art, built by DIY enthusiasts who are incredibly gifted. Ironically, a lot of these don't end up at the shows.
I actually knew the girl that bought the UR02LOW mk5 off Plush, Lucie. Not sure what she's doing now, she was a top lass, but I got the impression she didn't really get too invested in the actual development of the car, and had quite a bit of cash behind her. I'm not knocking her personally, but it's a perfect case in point. I don't buy PVW any more as there's just too much of it, and it's become a bit tiring.

Truthfully what is done to the cars doesn't bother me. Most of them aren't my thing however I absolutely love yours Craig. People can do whatever they want as it's their money and for me the point of cars is to express yourself with them. Also how they're paid for doesn't matter 1 bit as who's business is your financial situation.
My issue is that when you go to a track day or performance based event 90% of people wether they drove a Lupo or a Lambo are friendly and happy to chat and even do passenger rides etc...
When you go to to a 'scene' type show most people don't care or want to know you unless you have basically the same car as them.
Nowadays it's just track days and Sunday service type meets for me.
