Title: Anyone Fitted Rear Climair Deflectors?
Post by: JTI on August 09, 2016, 08:29:47 am
Fitted a set of these recently, front and rear, and the rear ones look like they bend outwards quite a lot. Please see the pic below, does this look normal? I'm pleased with how the front ones look but the rear look like they bulge out quite a lot.

looks normal to me, if you look at the shape where it fits in the window that seems flush, my team heko ones are more flush than that.

fml, a bit disappointed with them to be honest, they're just not growing on me. Considering shaving the edges down a bit so they lie flatter but worried I'll mess it up.

@cenobytez (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=14156) do you have a better picture of the rear ones on yours? Might consider trying some Heko ones on the rear, as long as their smoked colour matches the smoked grey of the Climair ones.

HEKO and Climair deflectors do not match. Climair are TUV approved hence the price difference plus it's German and better quality. The rears do have the bow unfortunately. Only suggestion would be to have fronts only or get the HEKO front and rear ones.

Thanks cenobytez, yeah they look more like what I'm after. Like MVB said looks like I'll have to choose between front only or full Heko. Having said that I don't want them leaking like Amanda says. That's the main reason I bought them!

They don't leak but what they do is dribble esp when wipers are being used so water still dribbles in when window is open if this makes sence??
My window switches still get wet which is what I was hoping that the use of these would cure the prob

Anyone know if the Climair do the same?

They all do the same sadly as you're meant to allow the water to completely drip off before opening the windows more than a few inches  :signLOL: I have the same thing so leave the windows slightly open till the water drains off the car.

Haven't noticed any issues with my front ones but not had them long enough to comment tbh. A couple of times I've wound the windows down when stationary and the water's just run off as norm, not driven with windows fully open yet after rain.
