Title: Ipod help

Looking for info on ipod options....can anyone tell me what will work in my car? Edition 30, 2007/57 rcd 500? built in cd changer?

Will the ipod "docking station" work? think its the one under the armrest?
Other than that does anyone know if the one in the for sale section will be compatible with my car? Its just the lead i believe.
Tried my local dealer for part number and info today, and have never met a more useless ape in my life...he would be better off in the zoo!

Do you have a cd changer already in the arm rest?
If you have then the ipod dock will be a straight swap. If you don't then afaik the ipod dock will not fit.

Hi, i have just done exactely this but i have the latest rns510 but dock wont work at all with head unit, it powers and charges ipod ok though. I have had it in to vw and they say its not compatable so be warned as i have wasted £50.

I thought this worked with the rns510 aswell,im sure i saw on here somewhere a link to another forum where he used this and the rns510 aswell as a phone kit, it was put into a passat i think.
