I picked the car up the other month from a fellow I know it's been heavily modified
But with every car you have to put your own stamp on it
So I fitted ed30 interior and wheels
Rns510 with mdi kit
S3 alloy hubs and wishbones and replaced a few bits as it had a knock
The car is ko4 converted and stage 2+
And I just picked it up from r-tech yesterday

I'm very happy with the figures that r-tech have produced for me it could of made a little bit more but I am not getting into chasing numbers with this car
I have a track car for that
Anyway peace out

Lovely :happy2:
Great power figures
Love the steering wheel. Enjoy :driver:
-
Would be faster if it was grey :booty:
-
I have to agree with @dansmith180 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=9450). Your old grey was really impressive in all aspects! This one is also a great car and I hope you enjoy driving it on the road.
-
the grey ed30 was a good car
i have been driving a stock o8 gti for the past 6 months and was really happy with it and then this little gti come up at a very good price
i have a few parts to fit
ed30 rear lights
black vw badge
mk7 gti gear knob
happy days
-
fitted my number plate to the car :happy2:

Now I like that plate! :happy2:
-
Nice car Dan, love the number plate too :happy2: any long term plans for it?
Have you got a link to a build thread for the track car?
Hope your well
Jake
-
If it's K04 converted and running the stage 2+ then technically you can brag about it being a stage 3 GTI. #justsaying
-
yeah love the plate to i got it off a neighbours car for a couple of hundred quid !!!
no build thread for the ibiza :ashamed:
and stage 3 gti i like that
and @dansmith180 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=9450) red is always faster than grey !!!
-
I love this, wish I would of done my research properly I would of got an ed 30!!
-
this is not an ed30 this is a pretty well sorted GTI with all the ed30 bits on :happy2:

Is that with 345mm discs? You can save a few kg with the 340mm TTS discs when you get round to renewing them. Straight fit as far as I know.

Holy sh*tballs
That looks A-mazing
What are the specs in those ultraleggeras? 19in? Offset?
If you don't mind me asking what did they cost you all up?
I remember I quickly totted up a 19in set on an alloy wheel website (can't remember which now?) and the cost was like £1,700 or so....
I was gutted cos I definitely couldn't afford them :sad1:
-
yeah i have read that
i will be ordering a set of tts disks when i renew them :happy2:

Love the gear knob and black wheel nuts :happy2:
Quick question;
what's your thoughts on deleting the PCV. I would love to delete my PCV (and keep my intake valves a bit cleaner in the process) but I've had mixed advice on whether deleting the PCV is a good idea?
I'd really appreciate your thoughts on it?
Cheers,
Dave

R-Tech PCV delete is the only true delete
I used this same kit on my edition 30 and they work very well
I know quite a few people that run them as well and they are also happy with it
For me it's just one less part to go wrong
Update*
Vwr rear anti roll bar fitted
Front coil overs wound down 2 turns
4 uniroyal rainsport 3's ordered in 225-35-19 as the michelins are out of date and have massive arch rub wounds
Hopefully be able to go lower when they are fitted

Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated!!
I've done a bit of research on the kit since you posted. And I see what you mean.
My understanding is that It vents to the atmosphere as opposed to back into the turbo inlet under boost, or intake manifold under vacuum.
Please correct me if I'm wrong :ashamed:
Another quick question (sorry :ashamed:) I haven't seen where it vents to??
Does the pipe just run under the car?
Do you get any oil spatter in the underbody of the car so?
Can you smell it?
Sorry for all the bumpy questions. It seems like a really good solution and I need a new PCV. So it's either new bits from VW or this kit. I'm inclined to fit the kit as I'm going K04 soon and boost is going to go up :rolleye:
Again, thanks in advance for your input :happy2:
Regards,
Dave
PS - tyres, roll bar and extra lows all sounding great :happy2:

This car has s3 front brakes not sure what disc and pad combo on it they will need changing soon though I will probably go with mtech grooved discs and ds2500 pads
As that's what I use on my track car and its impressive
