Title: Mkv gti Axx how to remove cam lifters?

Hi peps

I bought a cheap mkv as a fixer upper I got told it needed a cam chain and tensioner but at the price I got it for I couldn't say No. Well after I ripped the cam cover off all was revealed the follower has come of the tappet

Not sure where the rest of the post is sorry about that!!

Can I replace the lifter without removing the cam shaft ?
If so can some 1 point me in the direction cheers

No is the answer i replaced all 16 roller follows for a mate who over revved his engine. You dont have to completly remove the camshafts but u need to take the camshaft carrier plate off so you can jus lift the camshafts enough to slide the new followers under. U also need to remove the cam chain and timing belt to allow this to happen.
