Title: Dimming Dash lights

Driving last night on an unlit road, I thought the dash was a bit bright so tried to dim the lights, problem was I found the radio and the red illumination dimmed but the cluster didn't.

Do I have a problem or is it the same on all R's ?

I don't have the same car but I've noticed the cluster changes a tiny bit compared to the other dials in my car. Did it not dim at all or did it just change a bit?
