Title: Urgent advice needed
Post by: BigO_2.0Tdi on August 25, 2016, 05:52:05 pm
Hi guys I need some advice.  When I press my clutch down I hear a very bad rattle from the engine. Also at times when accelerating, could this be the thrust bearing and is it a costly job.   Also another thing is my hot and cold air. My blower stays a cool temp all the way on the dial up to 26 but when I put on the red dot it gets very hot. So I do get hot air but only on the red dot. Any other temp is constantly cool . Thanks

Hi. The rattle your hearing could be dual mass/clutch release bearing, or as in my case which I've just had repaired, the laith shaft has eaten into the gearbox casing destroying the clutch and dual mass in the process!
