I have a 6m long fully enclosed space 1m wide by 1m high so a narrow tunnel for all intensive purposes.
I need to get photos/videos from the opening at one end and I cannot enter the tunnel so I'll need a good zoom.
I have up to max €700 to spend.
Can anyone recommend a good camera for this purpose, I'll be keeping it afterwards for personal use which is the real benefit here.

CCTV camera? Sounds a bit of a weird scenario.

I work in engineering, currently managing an upgrade of a water treatment plant.
I have suspected sand ingress in one of the culverts so I need to do a CCTV survey to prove the existence of this sand to the client. I've been quoted €12,000 to get a CCTV company to do this so I'm looking at doing it myself now instead!

I would have thought the most important thing you'll need is light so buy done sort of portable flood light. After than any camera would work to be honest, 6m isn't s huge distance.

Ill come and do it for €6000

I said I'd do it for €700 which is why I'm just buying a camera :signLOL:
I have high power led lights I'll use so now just the camera to go.
I'll be keeping it after the surveys so I'd like a good one... Any thoughts?

Canon powershot are decent.

Did see them and like the look..
I do a bit of adventure stuff so had also considered a GoPro.. Lately I've been doing a lot of sea swimming so considered this Olympus TG-4. Surely the quality is spot on for the survey and then I can take it to the ocean?

Go pro no good for what you are initially trying to achieve.

I thought that... Although if you had seen the footage I was given by the CCTV contractor the first time around you'd think he was filming it with one of those inspection cameras in lidl.

horizontal or vertical 'tunnel'?
if horizontal a Gopro on a small trolley (skateboard) pushed using a long rod should work, mount lights on trolley and bob's your uncle.
As you've said, a professional will only do similar, but worse.

Very true!
That's actually spot on for what I need... I'll do this and either go for an Olympus or GoPro

I'm no expert but this (http://thedigitalcamera.net/canon-eos-5d-mark-iv-the-evolution-of-the-saga/) Canon looks good.

First post about a camera?
Welcome to the forum. The canon eos 5d mkiv is literally just released and retails at 5K so that's not an option!!
I opted for the canon eos 750d which I'll be getting in the coming weeks
