Title: LED number pate bulbs

Think i have read somewhere that there is a genuine LED number plate light set available that can be fitted to the MK5. Sick and tired of buying various LED's that claim to be error free only to find they arent.

Also would such a set also fit a 2012 caddy?

Ive been lucky with the LEDs Present ones are 2/3 year old still going strong  EBAY has got to be your first search or maybe BOLDSPORT

the genuine LED ones come off a mk6 golf i believe. i bought a set quite cheap off ebay for mine. they work well and no error lights

cheers guys. Need to find myself a set of the genuine ones really. Looked on ebay but there are just millions to look through. Could do with a part number really then i could just go to VW.

I think the Ebay ones are hit and miss tbh.

the sidelight LED's are the same as the rear numberplate ones.

My Number plate bulbs work perfectly fine. but my sidlight flicker like a strobe light

Amazon is a good place to look aswell you can get a whole inset to replace the original ones which have led's in them you just plug them in and they clip into the hole.

Thanks for this, found some on ebay for £23 a pair. Bought two, one for my mk5 and one for the caddy - item number 271497461648
