Ok on the HPFP on a Octavia vRS TFSi (pre-Facelift) their is a brass valve called a Schraeder valve i think

Apparently this is not a seperate part from VAG and they want £164+ VAT for a new pump which i am not paying just for the valve.

Does anyone know where i could get one (apart from a scrapyard as i have tried but no luck)

If you knew the dimensions of the thread it might be possible to buy just the actual valve from somewhere else.

Just one question how old is your ETKA as the bloke in the garage said it's not listed (by the way this was over the phone not with me stood there so he might be getting things confused)

I'll try with the part number that i can see highlighted

wow,

This post just reflects how helpfull this place and its members are. so thats a saving of £160 I think STEVEP is owed a pint or two!
