Glad the aux port works with my old ipod.Is there a way to get the artist and song details showing on the rns510

Not through the Aux port there won't be. That's a simple signal connection. You'll need an MDI interface to get album art and other details.

Get the OEM BT kit mate ( and a new ipod) ... well worth it
as above... AUX only does audio, not data.

Just had the oem phone kit fitted this afternoon and it's brilliant bit of kit
Is the new ipod blue tooth also!

If you're talking about actual ipod (i.e. classic) then no.
You'd have to go for an Ipod touch for that, and then they are £379 for a 128 GB, which still is short of the capacity in a Classic at 160Gb for around £150 on ebay.
