Title: HELP!! need a new engine

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to the forum but I need a new engine for my MKV GTI with a DSG. It had a BWA engine, just wanted to know does anyone know any good breaker yards near London as dealers have quoted nearly £7000 for a new one.

Also would and engine from an edition 30 (BYD) or S3 (BHZ/CDL) be a straight swap??

And if I buy a used engine does it have to come from a car which had a DSG??

ed30 or s3 engine will fit but turbo etc will need mapping in and no doesnt need to be from a dsg car :smiley:
