Title: Sticking gears

Hi guys the golf has covered around 68000 miles 2,0ltr diesel 2005 model the car has been great but recently I have noticed getting the car into gear is becoming a problem mainly 1 st and reverse or getting it out of first
Is this a common fault I have been reading about maybe some adjustment can anyone suggest any solutions ... Hope it's not the clutch

I believe there is a plastic bush at bottom of gear shift that gives these symptoms if worn. Worth checking that before thinking the worst :-)
