spotted this on the other forum and did a little google search:

looks like uk vw has finally admitted there is a problem - not 100% sure on what will be covered but interesting

Yep it's a very limited time range (Aug 08) so will affect a few Pirelli's and normal GTI's only  :sad1:

Appears to be related to the temp sensor issue that was reported as an issue a while ago.

I havent had any problems with my DSG box... mines 58 reg Pirelli :stupid:
