Hello I'm still new to this as I've only posted 1 thread. Which was about my broken golf. I have now finally got a working one, nothing like what you guys got. 1.6fsi so won't be wasting money on performance as I won't be able to get much
Anyway cut to the chase
I want to put the bi xenon headlamps on my car which has the standard headlamps. Is it a direct replacement or "things have to be done. If I do get bi xenon headlamps I'm going to put after market hid anyway so yeah I'd just like to know if it's a direct replacement
Thanks

I don't get it. No one wants to help. Or is it cus I'm trying to rice out a 1.6

These are what you need mate they are genuine Bi xenon headlights.
If you go aftermarket look for depo or hella projector style headlights and buy a hid kit for them.

You'll need to check if your CECM will support xenons before you go splashing out for these....
I'm sure Ray that's why you might not have received much help, 1.6 is a bit of an unknown i'd say and not sure what it comes with from factory.... If you have VCDS or access to it, throw up a scan and we can start to work out what you might be able to add :happy2:

Thanks guys for the reply. The link is blocked for me. Maybe cus I'm still new. I thought that all golf's were the same except the engine and the extra options.
Anyway I found these headlights with the 9 pin connecterror instead of the 12 pin. They say direct replacement for the halogen headlamps.

What still want to know is can I use the same hid I have in my halogen headlamps or do they have different connections. I called them up and they was no help.
If you guys have bixenon would be great if you could send me a picture of the bulb connections

Hid's in reflector headlights really aren't a good idea mate they are quite blinding. Go for projectors instead

If the bulbs from your hid kit are h7's then they should fit mate
-
Yeah that's why I took out the hid because they are blinding in the reflectors. So I was hoping I could fit the gti style headlamps with the projector.
So normal gti headlamps take h7 bulbs. Because mine are h7 xenon
