Title: Bad touch up job!
Post by: Lucastheone92 on October 15, 2016, 08:31:22 am
My ed 30 in tornado red has some pretty ugly touch up marks from the previous owner. The touch up paint is way darker than the rest of the car and there are big blobs of the stuff.

Is there anyway to remove and fix these  or is a respray the only option ?

Wow that person was pretty heavy handed! You can try a few different things but the easiest and best way i would say is to use a fairly course polish on a machine and do the whole bonnet. It should take the excess paint away in no time

Wet sanding will help remove the blobbiness, and might help blend it in a bit better. Colour match is never going to be perfect.
