If I offered you this, how much would you pay?
Want to know how much I might offer the seller.
2008 Edition 30
5 door
Silver (Pretty bland colour)
DSG
Pretty much everything high spec except xenons and headunit
30,000 miles
-
Dsg or manual?
-
DSG

£9,500-£10,000? The mileage is a good point being so low and obviously dsg normally fetches a few extra £££

Depends on a number of factors and spec is not one of them for me.
If it was Mint, Had Full History and has been done every Year regardless of Mileage, Had its 2nd Timing Belt, Decent branded Tyres.
Probably £11000 or thereabouts on a Private Sale.
Not sure if you have seen my build thread but I paid £10500 for mine but its a Manual, Didn't want a DSG anyway. Viewed another ED30 prior to buying mine with 30K miles up at £12000 but was very average in condition with sketchy Service History.

Thanks lads, I figured as much.
Since the Sterling has dropped so much lately that would put it around €12,000 or at most €13,000 but the seller wanted €16,000

What bonelorry said, obviously with every car viewing check tyre brands and service history etc as a number one rule. I picked mine up for just! under £10,000 with 49K/3 door/tornado red/stage 1/full service history. I did get a family discount though as it was off my cousin + I'm cheeky  I was prepared to pay up to £11,000 for a low mileage example

16K is just too much. Unfortunately, (or fortunately if you own one :happy2:) Edition 30 prices are really firming up and don't show any signs of stopping. Amazing the difference in price between a normal GTI and Ed30 now.
It's almost cheaper to build your own Ed30 from a basic GTI. But unfortunately you'll never see your investment back again when it comes time to sell :sad1:
