Title: Different sized spare?

Hi guys,
I've just gone in my boot today to realise that the spare on my car is a 18" but I have 17" alloys on my car? I'm a bit stumped as to why?
Furthermore is it gonna present a problem if I need to put it on at any point?

think they all come with that size space saver mate

If you put the spacesaver next to your 17" you should find that the rolling diameter is the same.
