Hi guys,
Recently getting a knock which sounds like it's coming from the front driver side wheel, took it to an Indy, they checked All the drop links and suspension over etc and only thing that seemed out of place was slight play in a rear drop link, so changed that out but the knock is still there! What are other possible causes? Seems to happen on uneven roads and sometimes but not always over bumps?
Any input would be greatly appreciated as it's pretty annoying!
Thanks

I had a knocking noise from my suspension got it on the ramp at work both my wishbone rubbers were shot cost me £6 a rubber... could also be stearing rack

Start the car and rock your steering from left to right and if it knocks there's your issue right there. Inner track rod!.

So I just checked this morning, with a bit of rocking there is indeed a sort of pop/knock sound, guess I should change the inner track rod then?

I have the same which is why I pointed you in that direction. I'd replace it but not sure how easy or difficult it is to do.

not too hard to do, if you got the tools and can be bothered.
ramp would obviously be easier though

Big grips or an adjustable wrench will be required to undo the inner side of the rack and you'll also require need tie band for the steering rack gaitor.

Going to replace the rod and the subframe bolts as soon as possible, fingers crossed doing these will get rid of the knock!
If not I'm stumped!
All the input so far is massively appreciated!

Just another note on the knock, not sure if it matters or not toward the diagnosis of the problem,
The sound seems to happen more often when the wheels are straight, i don't tend to hear it when im turning, either that or its quieter! Still the same problem knowing this info I assume?
Cheers

Yes I am having that issue with my steering rack rod inner left more than right. When I take off the car knocks cracks

I did forget to mention another thing which I find very important.
Check your subframe bolts for tightness :happy2:

Yeah I've ordered the replacement kit with spacers that comes originally from ECS so that'll cure any problems with the subframe gaps
Hopefully that plus the inner rods changing will solve all!
Fingers crossed!
