My old mans had a letter recalling his Mk5 diesel DSG for a clutch issue, anybody else heard anything?
-
Not me mate... what year of manufacture is your motor?
Did the letter include details of the technical bulletin?

its a 58 plate, the letter just says clutch issues in the DSG box

Does the issue relate to cars actually manufactured during August 08?
My car may have been made during July 08. Can I check if the issue affects my car?

I'll get him to fetch the letter round and see what it says :happy2:

This concerns me...I have a MY08 so presumably I should be expecting a letter soon?
-
depending on production d8 and part no of the mechatronics it may be replaced, and a simple softwear update for DSG control unit...Nothing to worry about :happy2:

If you don't get a letter then you can contact a dealer and give them your chassis number to check or they will check as a matter of course during your next service.
