Hi,
My instrument cluster display (MDF) normally displays navigation instructions when I'm using Sat-Nav, also an Audio function when using my cd changed, as well as the usual 2 trip info's (mpg's, distance etc.) but the NAV and audio have completely disappeared!?
Recently had a VCDS scan, but that's the only thing I can think of that may have removed them.
If I enter the settings menu holding the stalk button they're not in there either, just MFD and settings, used to have Navigation and Audio listed as well.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Make sure the bap box is unchecked. I think it's in navigation module.

On the VCDS scan I had, there were a couple of RNS related faults, so they were cleared and the RNS appeared to restart on completion. Could this have disabled these 2 features I've lost?
Before I go having it plugged in again, does anybody have any other ideas if it's something that can be done without VCDS? Or is pretty much VCDS which has the ability to enable these features again?
Thanks.

Ok, Reset sounds worth a try, however I got the RNS MFD2 (original Nav in early mk5's) how do I perform a reset on this?
Cheers.

Never owned one of those so may be another member knows how to reset that model you've got.

Great find. I will do the battery disconnect, if no joy get my battery tested/replaced.
Help here from all is much appreciated.

Update.
Disconnected battery for minimum of 10 mins and all seems back to normal. Navigation and Audio have reappeared in the MFD. result.
Will probably have my battery checked soon though too, just in case it's the battery on its way out.
Cheers.

Problem came back. Had battery checked and turns out it needed replacing.
Replaced battery and all working well, it's been a week so far.
