Title: SOME ONE PLEASE MEASURE THEIR GT NOT GTI FRONT BADGE FOR ME

I'd like to know what size the boot lid and front grill badges are please?.

Front grill will be the GT one not gti and rear badge boot handle is gti if it makes a difference  thanks

mk6 rear badge fits mk5 rear Its bevelled too which gave me a thrill when fitted It may also be worth street cred points or something :happy2:
 Front is  125mm but not 100% sure
 Try and find the complete Mk6 handle as this will fit. Have seen them on ebay for £30
 Make sure the 3 fixing points on the front badge are correct as there are one or two variations

I was thinking of just replacing the badge and not the whole boot mechanism TBH which is why I wanted to know if the sizes are the same for the rear.

The gti front badge looks small the the GT one. It wanted to be sure.

I had a mk6 bevelled badge fitted on my mk5 rear handle You will have to remove a couple of the locating tangs to fit snug.

That's not a problem as I can fit the rear one on by prying the old one off. It's the gt grill and on black is what I need.

The front VW badge from the GTI will not fit on the GT Sport grille. The GT Sport VW emblem is 150mm across and has an extra lip to snugly fit on the GT grille, the GTI one will just slip through the hole!  :surprised:

Part number is 1K5 853 600 MQH and can be had for about a tenner. My uncle had the same dilemma for his Passat B6 where he upgraded his grille from midline to highline only for the badge to fall in! Got it from this (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-VW-Passat-B6-Golf-Jetta-MK5-MKV-Passat-cc-Chrome-Front-Grille-Emblem-Badge-/231989631853) seller and all is well in the end!
