Can someone help me with this please?.

Is this why it's needed coding at the stealers?.

Sounds like the coding is wrong. You have VCDS so get it sorted

Hi mate, I'm not sure how do go about coding it as I've looked at this the other night but baffled me. Any pointers how too? Thanks

I got this code when I replaced mine with a new one mate, I assumed it was coz I needed the steering characteristic curve installing at Vw so be interested to know.

That's exactly what someone else said so better get VW to do it but I don't trust them as they may come up with bullsh*t that it's a used rack and they can't reprogram the steering characteristics in?.

That the problem Iv got mate, I know someone who works for Vw and won't do it coz he's scared of fookin up the rack lol says it all, and all the other dealerships want to charge £140+, even thought the steering feels arite I'm a bit OCD obout error codes so gonna have to bite the bullet and get it done at some point.

Yes have been told on here that this maybe the issue even before replacing mine but forgot who it was  :doh:
That's a shame he's not willing to give it as go as previously working in a dealership I've had to reprogram a lot of things and learning was an essential part of this profession and you can't really fook the rack up by reprogramming it as you follow the procedure set out on the diag system used or what was I doing working for the company in the first instance  :thinking:

Maybe I'll get it done once I've dully finished my modding lol
