Title: Can i retro fit Golf mk6 mfsw with paddles to m5 with no mfsw

Hi first post see how it goes
any help please
sorry if has been asked/done a 1000 times
but not 100% i think i can do this

i have a Golf mk5  July 2004
with
DSG
Cruise control
and low line dash
and my right hand stalk controls the dash info
i am getting from a mk6
steering wheel with buttons and paddles
air bag
air bag loom
slip ring
and the box from the bottom of the steering column
is this all i need 
i have access to VCDS
also the Cruise control stalk

Just to add it is a 2.0 140 diesel
and have fitted a later canbus (1K0907530Q)
to stop battery drain as i have fitted a RNS315 radio/satnav

Have collected the parts i think i need and will try to fit this week and see what happens

The mk6 mfsw fits and most of the buttons work so I would think think the dsg will be ok too.

I have fitted mk6 mfsw to my 140tdi, but mine is manual.

Looks like you have all the parts required, so you're all set :)

thanks all fitted and 9 out of 12 buttons working and light up fine
paddles also work
maybe a highline dial swap for my midline next as i have a tns315 sat nav
