Need some help with this.
My Gti was off the road for around a year, before it was parked up it ran perfectly with no warning lights etc..
Since its been back on the road I've fitter a new battery but the following lights are on the dash,
ABS
Traction
Steering angle sensor
Tyre pressure
Handbrake
I've tried to have them reset but they appear after about 20 seconds of driving.
As mentioned the car ran perfect before it was sorn. Does it sounds like corroded sensors? I'm thinking the easiest way is to replace the ABS sensors which in turn should sort out the traction and steering angle sensors?
Haven't had time to take the car to the garage as i work 6/6 daily.

Does your steering feel "heavy" or is it "normal"?
-
maybe best to check it with vagcom to see to do a reset
-
Long shot, but I think you need to drive a few miles to clear the faults.

Steering feels normal.
Been scanned and cleared Already but codes reappear
Been driving the car daily and codes aren't dissapearint. They used to after it had been parked up for a while but now they stay illuminated.
As mentioned the car was perfect before it was parked up but I think over the year it was Parked up the sensors may have corroded?
I'm assuming abs and traction sensors are the same or related, how many Of each are there?
Don't have any good vag specialist close by as I live in Edinburgh which makes life difficult..

Autohaus on Bilston Glen Only used them once but they know whats what when it comes to VAG :happy2:

You definitely need to scan it.

I had this problem when new battery was fitted earlier this year, although my steering also went heavy. Despite initial re-coding, the garage had to replace the steering wheel electronic module and optical sensor and then re-code.
