Title: Asbestos in bonnet liner?

Anyone know what is in the heat proof lining on the golf gti mk5? Mine had started to fall apart and is very dusty, I'm worried incase it contains asbestos?  Cheers

It was made maximum 12 years ago. 12 years ago everyone knew asbestos was awful and dangerous. It will not be asbestos.

Think it's made out of different fibre depending where it is in the car,but not asbestos
