Has anyone serviced their Forge diverter valve before?
I've just bought a GTI which is down on boost and after having a look this afternoon I found it has a Forge one fitted, in the long term I will probably change to a rev G but whilst I have the car off the road I might as well service it as I read a lot of stuff online about how they need re-greasing?
I've not taken it apart yet is it just a case of re-greasing everything with high temp grease or similar?

I'd recommend this for what it's worth and it's a fit and forget part too.

Which type do you have?
isit the forge DV with the wiring solenoid or the forge spacer(noise maker)

I've got the forge Dv with spacer and never serviced it and boosting fine but would like to remove the spacer. You find anymore info on servicing forge dv Paradox1?

Yeha the spacer isnt good for performance. its supposed to be like having a massive boost leak although ive never used one.
Forge sell the servicing kit for £15 I think.
Comes with the grease, a few O rings and I think difference rated springs depending on what level of tune/ PSI you are running.

I haven't got any boost leaks but will be changing DV.

Mine looks like this, so the full DV kit with solenoid which runs off vacuum in the inlet manifold. No spacer, thankfully!

Im currently running OEM DV, but im going to probably give the above DV a try as I got it for next to nothing. Just need the solenoid for it then I can install it to test.
If you do get a leak its more than likely the o ring seals that have perished.
Everyone on here says they are sh1t but i bet you half of the people who comment on them have never used one. we both have one, why not see for ourselves.. :happy2:

smart arse :slap: they're prone to leaking as been tested umpteen times but yeah most likely the O ring has deteriorated and causing the leak but again why f around with shi* goods when you can by a GFB and never need to worry about that again :thinking:

Cos im not a sheep and I like to be different. everyone have s GFB+ Dv. your telling me its the ONLY dv solution that work on these Engines??

I followed my own intuition and many asked me about it so thanks for asking and further to your insult regarding sheep I'll repeat the GFB is fit and forget :angry015: :P

I'm getting a rev G fitted tomorrow so i'll let you know the difference.
I don't know if this is related to the Forge DV but mine is very 'fluttery' when lifting off. If I understand correctly (and I probably don't :pomppomp:) this could be caused by the Forge DV being slow to shut off due to it being manually controlled by a ~1.5m vacuum hose rather than the OE ones which are electronically controlled by the ECU?

Im not sure if its the hose that causes it. even the Rev G flutters on some cars

Yeah, but I think the design of the Forge makes more flutter than the OE designs.
