Title: Canbus unplug and reconnect

I'm wanting to upgrade away from my RCD300, however I need to check my Canbus version before I do anything, I need to take it out to check the part number as I don't have VCDS or anything similar. my question is if I remove the canbus and put it straight back in after checking the part number, will that cause any error message or warning lights that I would need vagcom to remove?

Will be fine. Just keep the ignition off
