Wow, that's disgusting, this is why I just refuse to take my car to a dealer or anywhere that doesn't have glowing reviews from people I know or whose opinions I trust. Just to make a few quid

Give them a kick on the bollocks from me  :fighting:

That's realy bad. Makes you wonder how much they get away with. They could be doing things like this with timing belts like not replacing tensioner or something. Shocking

Very poor indeed!

One of the main reasons I do most of my own work and document it on here, I find it very hard hand the car over to someone else who might be having a "Can't be arsed day" and only does half a job on my car but charges me a fortune for the privilege.

Obviously not everyone is confident to be doing work on their own car and there are certain jobs I won't undertake so would go to a reputable independent but I always ask if I can see the removed parts!

My brothers audi a4 3.0 went into audi for a full service, it came back and the same old oil filter was still inside, it was black and ruined, they do half a job, ive even heard of some people going and they didn't even change the oil

Well it'd always had a service from audi and he wanted to keep the full history together, but what a shame. We've got our own garage now so do everything ourselves

Happened to me, a garage didn't change or even top up the oil in my car.

I understand this on a sub 5 year old car. but I sell quite a few cars and find that full service history doesn't make that much difference at all to sales. in fact maybe only 1 customer in 5 even asks if it has dealer history. most are just as happy to see a stack of invoices.
