Title: Golf R - LC60YZB
Post by: Keved30 on December 27, 2016, 10:15:16 am
I'm looking to part exchange my edition 30 for a mk6R. This one has come up, 5 dr, dsg, grey, leather, nav, 19's etc. LC60YZB.
Has the car ever belonged to anyone on here that can tell me anything else about it?

DO NOT buy it!

Well known car that was running nearly 500bhp, Spent most weekends at Santa Pod doing 1/4 Miles Sprints.

It was looked after ofcourse but it has had some serious abuse.

It's a shame as it'll be a ferocious drive, as we know from the build. Hurdy will have modded/maintained it to the highest costs, but since his ownership it will be much more questionable I guess?  :scared:

its done over 1,500 launches with varying levels of power. . . And dropped a spark plug tip too

I'm pretty sure it was sold polybushed with ECU & DSG map.

Well over 500bhp by the end, on race fuel. Pretty sure it was put back to k04 before he sold it. I know the BT kit went elsewhere anyway.

And I agree with Rich - it's too much.

Yes think it was sold as a car with a Stage 1 Engine and DSG map, Everything else was removed.

And yes it is overpriced given the history of the car, A good MK6 R is worth £18K but you can get a bargain. I paid £2K less than that for my 6R earlier this Month!

I'm pleased I asked. I'm sure it was an amazing machine and appears to have been maintained to a high standard, however, it has clearly had a hard life. I'll keep looking, there's nothing wrong with my edition 30 just fancied a change!!

If you are not in a rush, I'd suggest that when the mk8 is released and all the mk7r come off lease, everything is likely to drop in price. Hopefully then a mk6r will be within my budget.
