Title: My steel Grey 5 door
Post by: Palmer02 on January 03, 2017, 08:49:07 pm
Hi Guys

Been lingering around for a little while, looking at various posts etc,
i just picked up a 05 5 door in grey, nice car needs a few bit sorting but looking forward to getting involved.

ps, did buy 06 3 door in black on flee bay but drove 100 miles to view/collect and was a bit of a dog lol. so lost deposit and walked away from a not too impressed dealer...

Matt

Welcome along!

Get some photos up...

Probably a good thing you walked away, a lot of people look at a new buy through rose tinted glasses and can often make a mistake and end up buying it.

Hope you didn't lose too much deposit!

Thanks

As far as I can tell it's got pretty good spec
Xenons
Sat Nav
Heated seats
Computer
Multifunction steering wheel
Parking sensors
18in wheels

I think it's got comfort pack and winter pack,

No leather but not that bothered as I can add if I want to

No only 100 quid plus fuel.
but i like a car to work on and mod/restore and that one would never be a nice car in the end unless u spent an absolute fortune on it...not worth it imo

Welcome to grey club.

Nice to also see a GTI where the wheels are still diamond cut.

Snow tonight

They sure don't like the snow! All that power is tough to limit sometimes!

I was going into work this morning and the front wheels started spinning in third gear and I was going as slow as possible, although I think I hit a patch of water from the previous person deicing their windows!
