Hello,
I recently swapped out my radio for RNS310 and the vent doesn't sit right it's below where it should be sitting, it wasn't perfect when i got the golf but it is very annoying. Anyone know how to get this to sit right?

Lift it back out and refit along with checking the part underneath it.
I had the same after taking mine out it sat too low at the front and thought I had broken a clip or something. The secondary piece of plastic underneath the meshed panel should clip in pretty firmly all round and the mesh panel clips into that. Check it all around - there should be the same gap after fitting the inner vent panel
If you have the one underneath slightly out the top bit will sit too high or too low.

I took mine out again two or three times until I was happy with it as I also routed a cable for my GPS aerial up through the area.

Had the same issue with mine. Usual story of previous owners wrecking things when fitting radios.
In the end I just replaced the whole lot as I fed up with the crunching crisp packet noises over every single bump.

Same issue with me, I pulled on the top of the vents and it ended up sitting on the ducting. Needed to be forced back into place, but now sits perfectly. You should use the plastic trim removal tools to get these out, no grabbing the vents.
I bought 2 sets of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262809292292 they're only 80p each delivered from China

Got it thanks! the under layer wasn't down far enough :scared:

Yeah these tools are a must I've two sets and I actually think the cheaper ones are better than the more expensive ones (orange better tan blue)
