I'm looking into getting some new wheels. And just after checking that they will fit ok as I'm not very good when it comes to fitment. Original wheels are 225/40/18 7.5j et 51. New wheels are 225/40/18 8.5j et 45?
Thanks

Yeah will fit fine. Will sit further out by 6mm too which would fill the arches better than your et51 wheels.
Your current tyres will also fit, but with a nice slight bit of stretch too, not much though.

Yeah the stretch would basically be non-existent on 8.5j wheels.
Will be perfectly fine.

Thank you very much guys. Appreciate the help.

Woah there. The new wheels will poke an extra 18mm. Not 6mm.

Technically 18.7 mm but who's counting haha
Will still fit nicely it sounds a lot but it's really not as the standard wheels fitment is pretty bad really
I had some wheels pretty much the same fitment and fit really nicely

Yep, forgot the 1/2" added by the width.
