Hi I have the urge to spend some money on my car.
It's stage 2, full turbo back, ramair.
What else could I buy for £250ish
I know I need the hpfp but can't afford the 600 price tag atm. Maybe just save my 250 towards one. ??? Has anyone fitted just the internals which is half the price.? Is it a diy job?

I'm guessing you have a mk6 gti as in this section.
If so fuel pump is good for around 400bhp no need for upgrade.

ARB's, Poly bushes etc.

Ref R32 brakes, are they bigger and better than my edition 35 ones?
To be honest the first thing I thought I needed after going straight to stage 2 was better brakes!!!

Anti roll bars it's in the name gets rid of body roll.

Put it towards brakes. There's probably no better use of your money at this point. Read up on the 345mm mk5 R32, mk6 R and 8P S3 brakes; and the later generation 340mm 8V S3, mk7 R, mk7 PP and mk7 Clubsport setup. You can combine parts of both setups. Probably the most effective £300-500 brake upgrade available.
Sit on your money and read up.

I have a used set of Bilstein B6 struts and rear dampers which have done about 30,000 miles if you are interested?

Get some lowering springs, H&R are selling for 150.
Just dont fit them yourself. i wish i never started lol

R-Tech will supply and fit the HPFP internals and a new cam follower for £400...
On the MK5, just seen that it may be MK6 so may be different price but doubt it.

Mk6 hpfp is good for up to ~ 400bhp as it is so need to uprate internals. I'd say brakes, if not then ALK (anti lift kit). It seems to be the WALK (whiteline alk) fails prematurely compared to a Superpro alk. I personally have a Powerlex alk that I need to fit when I get time. Cheapest of the lot and I havent heard anything bad about them

...but on the mk6 gti engine? Had it in my head the 207bhp "tsi" engine (not CDL) that the HPFP was good for that power.

mk6 gti engine is TSI where as the mk6 R is TFSI.
TSI doesnt need an injectors or HPFP

Yep thats what I thought. I did think it might have been a case of the mk6r CDL engine being a tfsi which still uses the cam follower and tfsi hpfp set-up. The gti TSI engine is a different set-up (uses roller cam follower etc.)

The 6R and Ed. 35 have a CDL engine, which is a TFSI.
@b7unr (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1427): Your engine needs an uprated HPFP (complete unit from Loba or APR; uprated internals from VIS Motorsports or Autotech), uprated IC (Wagner, Peron, Airtec stage 2, do88), TBE with 3'' (decat or really big sports cat like the BCS Powervalve), uprated clutch and a CAI to reach 380 BHP with Shell V-Power or Tesco 99. No need to upgrade conrods or pistons for 400 BHP.
