IIRC you have to change the whole inlet shaft. Not a small job as you will need to do all the timing at both ends of the engine. That is a softer rev A inlet shaft compared to the rev B shaft. I take it that this is an early AXX engine? Rev B Inlet camshaft around £300 IIRC.

Is the wear we are looking at on the "corners" of the lobe? Perhaps looking at it on phone but cant really see where the wear is.

Was your cam follower in bad shape after a short time?

Won't cost me much as will do it at work at a weekend also might be getting a camshaft this weekend of a mate that has a spare B version also I changed my cam follower just over a 1.5years and it don't look that worn tbh so might change it anyway but no Mega rush at the minute

How do you tell the difference between the different revisions of camshaft?

The left one is version A and right one is version B
A is One piece and B is two-pieces
B is the better one
