When VW to order a DV (Dump Valve) gave him the part number I was given for Revision G. Parts guy says there is 2 types & saying Revision D is the latest for later Gti. Has he got this wrong?
-
Rev G & D have both been available for ages. Some dealers will just order the number you give them, and some are jobsworths and insist on following what it says on their screen.

G is the type latest with the rubber diaphragm that is still prone to breaking, but people like it because it seals best.
The D is the plastic version that is fitted to newer cars that won't wear out.
Your choice!

@Shamm (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=16968) yes - fit and forget part and no need to mess about once it's done.
