Quick question for those that have done the R32 rear mod
Is it just the bottom part of the bumper that i would need? (the bit that is not sprayed on the GTI)
How much would you expect to pay on eBay or from a dealer?
Cheers
Dan

It's just the bottom bit you will need, yes. You will also need to get the relectors and some fixing brackets... not sure how much they go for on eBay.
Got mine from VW for around £300, plus or minus £50.

Interesting, so you don't have to replace the whole bumper? What exhaust did you use (I hear Millie do one).

I personally got a milltek on based around the R32 bumper.
Check out the photos in my build thread if you need to see how it all looks.

....
The R32 part you need is what VW call the 'Rear Spoiler'. The part which attaches to it is called the 'Exhaust Trim'. I've got the part #'s filed away so shout if you need.
There are several aftermarket exhaust trims available to suit various exhaust pipe configurations and the VW spoiler has cut-outs to accommodate them all too.
Hope This Helps

Part numbers would be great please??

....For what it's worth, the only parts I needed from your list, Pablo, were the reflectors. But perhaps my bodyshop had it all covered.
Btw, Spoiler and Trim come primed.

Cheers for the tip, I'm assuming some of the GTI bits should be re-usable. Will let you know when I located a good bumper and get it all fitted.

What colour car have you got?

2006 GTI in metallic black (paint code - LC9Z)
Hoping to find on the right colour to save hassle. I've got an Ebay watch on the complete lower section though it starts at £200.

Just so that you know VW provide the bumper and many other body parts pre-painted in silver and black.
May save you time and some costs...in the long run.

Last time I was looking into this I found an American website which did the exhuast trim section to fit stock GTi/ED30 tailpipes. Meaning that you could keep your existing exhuast setup.
I'm personally not a fan of the centre exhuast setup.

Theres so much interest in these and the ed30 kit, even if you buy from a stealer I am sure you will get a fair portion of your money back at the end, just keep the ones you remove...so it may actually in real terms cost less than you think
I for one would love the ed30, splitter, sides and rear lower valance. Need to find the part numbers etc though then get prices for paint. Sadly I have the added expense of removal of a milly quad, which I can I guess sell and the addition of a new milly twin. (I could go OEM for the zorst but the milly sounds great and looks the dogs.)

You should advertise it in the wanted area as a swap for someone with an ED30 NGCAA! :happy2:
