Hey guys.
I was just wondering if anyone has come across a similar issue. Ive noticed sometimes if i floor the car there doesnt seem to be a big kick in the back from boost but 80% of the time its working fine. I had to diverter vavle changed for a oem one from awesomegti so doubt its that.
Ive also run vag-com with no fault codes. Would a sticky actuator cause that?
Any ideas would be appreciated :)

I have the same problem but i think i need to change my dv and btw which dv do you have
-
I changed my DV to the rev G and it fixed the problem :happy2:
-
Any mods? Maps?
-
I had a similar problem and I found it it was my ore cad holding the turbo back when full throttle changed the down pipe to a decat and no probkems since
-
Its completly standard. No map's or mods.
The diverter valve is "OEM 2.0T Diaphragm Type Diverter Valve 06F 145 710G"

The final letter on the part number determines its revision. In this case G which is the latest diaphragm type.
Unless it was fitted poorly (doubt it considering a reputable company installed) then it could likely be a pipe coming loose or splitting at a joint.
Either do a visual or ideally a smoke test for leaks
-
@lukemk5gti (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=10176) how do you do a smoke test
-
But surely if it was a leak then it wouldnt boost all the time? Its fine most of the time just a few times terea no boost
-
Could be an intermittent fueling issue. You need to log it really.

How do u log it?
-
You need someone who has VCDS diagnostic software

I have a full version of vcds but only ever use it to read and delete codes. I was wondering how i can use it tonlog furl.and turbo boost in live logs
-
If you see boost actual matching specified but it does strange fluctuations up and down and doesn't produce the pressure it once did...likely going to be the N75 boost actuator valve. This is if all else is fine...so you have to look at the DV and for boost leaks first.
My N75 was replaced because my boost would only reach 18 when 24 is normal and then would suddenly drop to 10psi and finally climb up to 15 or 16psi again. Others see similar behavior and not always the exact pattern when the N75 begins failing.
-
Is there a way to log its behaviour using vcds?
-
In engine module, measuring blocks.
log the following groups:
114: N75 duty cycle
115: boost (actual / expected)
Find a quiet stretch of road.
Start from a slow roll, start logging.
change to 3rd gear, accelerate to full throttle (wide open throttle).
Do a few runs then put the data into excel to make a graph and view the data.

So I did a few runs today and ive got no idea what to make of it. Hopefully you guys can help me out.. pleeeeeaaassee

not sure how to add the file here so hope the download link above works ok
-
You didnt log the fuel rail pressure.
-
blocks 231 are the blocks you need for fuel rail pressure - actual & specified
-
Oh i just logged 114 and 115 like was mentioned.
How does the log look tho as in is it ok?
-
Just wondering if the boost looks ok and n75 is working
-
231 is the low fuel pressure...230 is the rail/high pressure.
Going to look at your boost data today...then later...I cannot open the data?

Pm me your email and will send it it mate.

Anyone?
-
I have the same issue. It's fine most of the time but last week it wouldn't boost over 5 psi then 2 mins later it was back up to 11 psi then 2 days later it wouldn't go over 7 psi then same again 11 psi. I'm running a gfb DV+ so doubt that's my problem so wouldn't mind knowing what you find :popcornsoda:

Anyone?
You are not giving us enough information.

What you want to know?

Just been out this morning and captured this log. I logged 114 , 115 and 230

Bump for help

Posting here so I can take a look at the logs tonight - can't download files in work
-
Logs look fine.
You don't really get much of a kick with the standard map.
You don't drive it hard do you?
-
Not too hard as i know how costly they are to repair lol
Thanks man
-
Definitely nothing wrong with those logs but you're only revving it to 3500
Try another log but this time nail the gas to the floor in 4th, right round to the limiter so we can get a fuller picture
