Yes an interesting article - I know of vehicles which the the ballon payment was thousands more than they got at the auction, since the renter took the out option.

The market will be flooded with golf Rs, BMW M135i 335i etc etc. There should be some bargains to be had

I feel you could add the M4 to that list Rich, as I see there price falling quickly, especially if it's the wrong specification.

Yep, would very much agree that this is likely an impending problem, that may well touch us all- like it or not?

Another being the VW dieslegate scandal, which are some of the reasons I have leased a new diesel auto Tiguan as my "beater" for work.
£33k car for £1k down and £350 a month, meets my work transport needs, and because of the lease, not PCP, I don't give a monkeys what it's "worth" in 3 years.
Big difference being it's a tool I need, not an aspirational want? A budgeted overhead.

But when the car market all collapses, then what???

Perhaps namsgti will get his Ed 30 for even less that the £5k he seems to have budgeted for  :signLOL:
And I may get my F Type?  :signLOL:
