Title: got the code p2088 coming up (Faulty Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT))

P2088 Code

Engine light is on because of me silly "decat"  :innocent:

and car does struggle to start a little but thought this was due to the Decat...
This is for sale on the forum..good starting point? (N205 cam adjuster valve 06F109257C)

Remove the plug off the n205, vvt solenoid, sometimes the plugs wear and pulls oil up into the electrical connector. Had this on a number of vehicles i have done now with those faults.

i removed the top section with an adjustable and can see oil sat at the top? ill have a proper look tomorrow

So the guy sold it today to someone  :fighting: haha

Any ideas before spending out on a new one?
