Title: Engine warning light on

Hello,

I'm brand new to the Golf GTI's.

Car has been running fine, no bumps, no jumps.

Parked up in Tescos yesterday, came back to the car, switched on the engine and the engine light came on. There seems to be a funny smell coming through the vents, like something is leaking but have been checking under the car when I've parked for a while and nothing seems to be there.

The only thing I've done to it this week is fill up the washer fluid because it was empty.

Is there anyone located in the Alton / Bordon / Farnham / Aldershot / Farnborough / Fleet area with a code tester to see what's up with it please?
