Title: FK streetline coilovers- thoughts?
Post by: eb198 on February 26, 2017, 10:28:17 am
Im considering getting a set of FK's off ebay, there cheap but has anyone fitted them on here? If so thought's, do they handle well or are they cheap for a reason? Also What spacer sizing for front and rear have people used on a 30mm drop?
Cheers for any response

Yep, these are definitely at the cheap end of things. Chinese made I think. They might be 'ok' for a few months but... they're cheap for a reason.

The more expensive FK coilovers are German built. Still not amazing, but a solid step up from any ~£200 coilover kit.

I'd suggest the Highsports Pashka has are a better option. I think these are made in Germany? Not sure what car you're in, but like he says - lower spec is 50mm strut diameter; GTI etc is 55mm.

I've got the FK Highsports on my car, can't really fault them for the money. Good value for money and maintain a decent ride comfort as well. Haven't done a track day in them but I imagine they would be a little on the soft side.
